NCRCA VEWAA VECAP Fall 2012 Beach Conference: October 25-26, 2012Call for Proposals: North Carolina Rehabilitation Counseling Association, Vocational Evaluation & Work Adjustment Association, Vocational Evaluation and Career Assessment Professionals


                                                                                                “Ethical Practice: Tips Tricks and Training”

You are invited to submit a proposal for our joint fall conference of rehabilitation professionals, educators, and students in the diverse but united professions of career assessment, job placement, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation, and work adjustment.

We are also accepting sponsors and exhibitors for this event.*

Known as “the beach conference”, this statewide conference is held in Atlantic Beach, NC for one and a half days and provides ten CRCC and CVE continuing education credits. The Fall conference dates are October 25-26, 2012.

Ethical Practice: Tips, Tricks and Training is our fall theme, which will provide 10 hours of ethics continuing education credit. Proposal submissions should explicitly reference the CRCC code of ethics and use the code in the content.

Peer-reviewed proposals may be for general / concurrent sessions or poster presentations and should include the following:

1)     Presenter contact information and a brief biography (100 words or less)

2)     Title and abstract for your presentation (150 words or less)

3)     Brief description of presentation content (500 words or less)

4)     Presentation type: (lecture, demonstration, research, conceptual, experiential),

5)     Briefly describe how your presentation ties into the conference theme

6)     Briefly describe experience, qualifications or credentials which justify your expertise on your intended presentation topic.

7)     Email your proposal submission by August 15, 2012 to Andrew Byrne, NCRCA president: ambyrne@med.unc.edu

We plan to notify you of your presentation’s acceptance status by August 31, 2012.

Non-Member Rate: $100.00

Pre-Approved Professional Organization Member Rate: $70.00

Full Time Student Rate: $25.00

 

REGISTRATION AT CONFERENCE

Non-Member Rate: $110.00

Pre-Approved Professional Organization Member Rate: $80.00

Full-Time Student: $35.00

 

Registration materials will be provided in August, 2012.

 

CERTIFICATION CREDIT

10 Hours of credit for the full conference.

Credits will be reduced accordingly for early departure. Please Call Kim Treece

at 252 / 633-5393 should you have questions concerning this process.

CRC/CVE/CWA Credit- Pre-approved forms available for all attendees.

LPC Credit: Licensed Professional Counselors may use the CRC Certificate of Attendance form to satisfy LPC requirements. The CRC Form can be duplicated and used to meet both needs.

CDMS, CCM, AND NCC Credit:

A Verification of Attendance section has been provided for your use in this conference program. Make sure that you have this form signed to have your attendance verified. This entire program, along with the signed section and the Post-approval Certification form will be sent to CCDMS, and CCCM when you are re-certifying.

BRING YOUR CERTIFICATION NUMBERS WITH YOU. THEY ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE CERTIFICATION FORMS.
